Checking the Structure of an Evaluation Specification PDF Print E-mail

You can have the Editor check the structure of an Evaluation Specification. Like an ordinary text document, an Evaluation Specification is based on a set of structuring rules. For example, in a text document, a section header without at least one related paragraph would be considered a violation of basic structuring rules. However, as long as the document is in 'Draft' status, such violations are tolerated.

The Evaluation Specification Editor keeps silent about violations of structuring rules. However, you can explicitly request a check of the document structure. To invoke the structure checker, select the "Check Specification Structure" menu item, which you will find in the 'Edit' menu.

StructureChecker

Whenever the structure checker detects a document structure violation, it marks the respective nodes with a small graphical symbol. The above figure shows a section which has no related paragraph(s).
