Request For Proposal Editor PDF Print E-mail
You would use the Request For Proposal Editor (RFPEdit) mainly for the following tasks:
  • Edit Private Requests For Proposal (Private RFPs);
  • Generate Public Requests For Proposal (Public RFPs).

RFPEdit allows you to open a Private RFP, which was previously generated with the Evaluation Specification Editor (ESEdit). You can edit RFP-specific information and generate a Public RFP. A Public RFP is intended to be made available to prospective offerors.

A Private RFP physically contains an Evaluation Specification. You can only modify RFP-specific information. You cannot modify any contents of the contained Evaluation Specification since the Evaluation Specification has been formally approved before the Private RFP was generated. Manipulation of the Evaluation Specification would violate its integrity.

The RFP Editor allows you to generate a Public RFP, which is effectively a subset of a Private RFP. Although the document structure is identical, some information that is not relevant for prospective offerors is left out. For example, an offeror does not need to know how you rated the relative importance of a requirement (requirement weight).

To actually make available the Public RFP to prospective offerors, you can either distribute the generated Public RFP file via E-Mail, or you can upload the file to a Web Server, from which the offeror can download it.
