Document States PDF Print E-mail

At any point in time, each document is in one of the following states:

  • Draft
  • In Process
  • Approval Pending
  • Approved
It is possible to switch between states, i.e. to go from one state to another.

Draft Status and In Process Status

The document is being worked on. Any kind of change can be made to the document.

Approval Pending Status

The document has reached a level of maturity that allows it to be submitted for final approval. No changes can be made to the document structure. For example, you will see that you cannot alter a Requirement Level in an Evaluation Specification once it has reached "Approval Pending" status.

Approved Status

The document has been formally approved. No changes can be made to the document structure.

Important: Please note that some menu items are only selectable when a document has reached "Approved" status. For example, you cannot generate a Private RFP before the Evaluation Specification has reached "Approved" status.
