EAS Overview PDF Print E-mail

How to evaluate and compare software or services? If you approach the task systematically, you will come up with a series of activities, which constitute an Evaluation Process.

The Evaluator's Application Suite (EAS) supports the Evaluation Process, which is a subprocess of the Acquisition Process. Acquisition is a complex process, which involves other processes that precede and follow the Evaluation Process.

The EAS is made up of various applications, each of which supports one specific process activity. EAS applications produce and consume electronic semantics-rich documents, which are independent of IT platform and programming language.

Persons involved in the evaluation process assume different roles. In addition, persons may be part of different organizations, which may be geographically dispersed. For example, consider the following scenarios, which provide you an idea of what the EAS can do.
