EAS Applications PDF Print E-mail

EAS applications can be used by various roles within an organization. For example, in larger organizations, it would be a Business Analyst's task to author or customize an Evaluation Specification, while a Request For Proposal (RFP) might be created by an IT Purchase Officer. In smaller organizations, however, there would probably be one person who creates Evaluation Specifications and RFPs.

Each EAS application has been designed with a specific user role in mind. To carry on with the discussion about persons and roles, for example, the RFP Response Editor application and the Evaluation Project Spreadsheet Editor application might be used by a person with something like a "Product Specialist" role. Of course, different persons may be assigned the same role.

In addition, persons participating in the product acquisition process may work for different organizations and may be in different geographical locations and time zones. For example, an external consultant may assume the Business Analyst role and author an Evaluation Specification.

All EAS applications are included in one package, which supports the "One person - multiple roles" scenario. However, to cater for the "Multiple persons - multiple roles" scenario, you are free to install EAS applications on as many computers as is deemed necessary.
