The new release of the Evaluation
Specification Editor – Content Provider Edition lets you comfortably generate spreadsheets in Microsoft's Excel file format.
Using the editor's rich
functionality, you can create Evaluation
Specifications quickly and easily. You can import ready-to-use requirements from the
requirements repository via the integrated Requirements Package
Browser. Import via drag & drop could not be more convenient or
efficient.
The requirements repository currently contains more than 1,500
functional requirements. No license is required for business
partner-related Requirements and for non-functional requirements.
With this new release, the new spreadsheet generation feature lets
you produce an output file which you can open with spreadsheet tools
that can deal with Microsoft's Excel file format. Besides Microsoft
Office, this would be OpenOffice and Google Spreadsheets, for
example.
The new feature is of particular interest when you wish to perform an internal software evaluation. You can specify how many software products you wish to include in
the spreadsheet. A set of columns will be generated for each software
product.
The generated spreadsheet truly reflects the Evaluation
Specification node hierarchy. It contains all the formulas that are
needed to compute aggregate values at multiple aggregation levels.
Once the spreadsheet file has been generated, you can start
immediately with product comparison and you can easily and clearly
identify each product's strong and weak areas.
