The Business Infrastructure Requirements Package now exceeds the 2000 entries mark. It contains more than 750 requirement categories and more than 1250 ready-to-use functional requirements related to business infrastructure, IT infrastructure, management & administration, and standards.
In a service oriented architecture (SOA) environment, application systems are composed of services. Business process driven, rule-based interaction among services is a prominent characteristic of modern SOA-based systems. Boundaries between application systems are blurring.
Many large organizations and consulting firms have multiple software
acquisition or software evaluation projects going on in parallel. So,
if you occasionally or frequently create Evaluation Specifications (and Requests for Proposal (RFPs)), you will
realize that some requirements are specific to an Evaluation
Specification, while others are needed in almost every Evaluation
Specification. The latter group of requirements may be termed
'horizontal' or business infrastructure-related requirements, since almost every Evaluation Specification
includes a subset of them. Horizontal requirements are reusable in many different contexts.
Considering modern SOA environments, Jenz & Partner offers customizable Evaluation Specifications, representing the 'vertical'
dimension, and Requirements Packages, representing the 'horizontal' dimension.
The
Business Infrastructure Requirements Package is the package that contains the largest set of 'horizontal' requirements.
Organizations that have acquired an Evaluation Specification Usage
License (ESUL), may request a free of charge Digital Content
License, which entitles them to gain access to the central Functional
Requirements Repository (FRR) for a limited period of time.
Alternatively, a Digital Content License can be obtained, which allows organizations to view and import requirements from the Business Infrastructure Requirements Package. The license is valid for one year.
The Requirements Package Browser provides you with a view of the
Package tree. A Requirements Package is organized as a hierarchical
tree with Requirement Categories and Requirements representing nodes.
The
Business Infrastructure Requirements Package is frequently updated and requirements are added as technology and standards are progressing.
