Jenz & Partner has developed a Requirements Package Browser.
It is targeted at users who wish to import ready-to-use requirements into Software Requirement Specifications, Evaluation Specifications, Requests for Proposal, etc.
The Requirements Package Browser lets
you browse the central Jenz & Partner Requirements Repository,
which contains a comprehensive set of ready-to-use requirements. The
Requirements Repository is structured in content in order to make it
easy for you to quickly find requirements that fit your interest.
Use Case for the Requirements Package Browser
The Requirements Package Browser enables you to view package contents and import
requirement category and requirement information into your software
requirement specifications, software evaluation specifications, etc. via copy & paste.
How to use the Requirements Package Browser
You can browse
Requirements Packages regardless of whether you have a license key.
However, restrictions apply if a license key is not provided. While
some Requirements Packages do not require you to enter a license key
to view the full content, others are access restricted.
At this time, you will not need license keys to view business
partner requirements and product-related non-functional requirements.
Business partner requirements cover aspects that play a role in
vendor selection. For example, contract and training requirements are
included in the partner requirements package.
Non-functional requirements specify criteria that can be used to
judge the operation of a product or system, rather than specific
behaviors. Therefore, non-functional requirements are often called
qualities of a system.
To browse a Requirements Package, please proceed as follows:
-
Select the Requirements Package that you wish to browse.
-
Enter a license key if you wish to view the entire
Requirements Package and if a license key is required.
-
Now you can click on Requirement Categories and Requirements
in the tree view, which presents a hierarchical view of the selected
Requirements Package.
To invoke the Requirements
Package Browser, please go to http://88.198.14.98:8084/BMO-RP-Browser/rpb/ .
How is it different from the Evaluator's Application Suite (EAS)?
Unlike the Evaluator's Application Suite (EAS), the Requirements Package
Browser is a Web Application, meaning that it executes in your Web
Browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, for example). Thus,
there is no need to install software on a desktop or notebook
computer.
Since the Requirements Package Browser has been designed with a different
use case in mind, it does not provide the same level of functionality
as the EAS. The following table identifies the major differences.
